It’s because the last Live Art : Live Art was such a stonking success, that the wonders at Akemi Arts decided to treat the people of Manchester once again. Another all-round splendour of a line-up spilled out of Contact Theatre, luring non-stop participation from enthralled audiences trying their hands at life drawing, scrawling on huge sheets of canvas with Used Pencil, sharing stories in intimate books, singing along with performers like Jezabelleza + sitting back to enjoy the captivating blues performed by Rik Warren. Closing the night were Age of Glass : seriously : these guys are BRILLIANT! Performance art + poetry as well, with pedal power from us, just in case people thought for a moment that they wouldn’t be involved in the evening!
