We Are PoWWow Pedal Power!

Dedicated to bringing bicycle power to events, festivals and schools. A not-for-profit organisation based in Manchester, we build bicycle generators to power music and films in various forms focussing on public participation to create a unique project.

We are passionate about bikes, driven by raising awareness about issues surrounding the environment and fuelled along by creating sustainable energy in a fun and exciting way. We are also immersed in our local community and encourage involvement from people at every level. We hope to promote sustainable lifestyles, healthy living and the joy of cycling in a fun and involving way.

If you want to find out more, have a look at what we do or get in touch with any questions if you’d like us to provide clean, fun energy at your event!

Fancy Town Hall carpets and rusting bicycles; a wonderful visual

>>MANCHESTER : WE ARE WELL<<

December 9, 2010

So out in the snow we went, skidding and slurping our way on the treacherous roads to the Town Hall, our precious kit clinging onto ropey trailers for dear pedal-power life. But arrive we did! And a fine honour it was to scrape our muddy filthy bicycles through the immaculate grand corridors of this prestigious building. It was Manchester Well Being; a celebration and evaluation of a project which binds a cluster of community led, health inspired groups branching right across Manchester from north to south. **e c o : weekenda : supporting the 10:10 campaign**

October 18, 2010

This suspiciously fun and intriguing sounding weekend was placed in good timing of the national 10:10 climate campaign.. Eco Salsa? Never thought we would hear the day! But there we were- for a whole weekend of it! It’s funny what small decisions you make in life or random conversations you have with strangers that eventually culminate in pedal powering vast ranges of Salsa as part of an equally environmentally focussed weekend.
